LG = Landesgruppe (regional group, there are 20 in Germany, see http://www.schaeferhunde.de/site/index.php?id=655)
OG = Ortsgruppe (local group, there are A LOT in each LG)
Superior to an LG event is only the Siegershow - Hauptzuchtschau, HZS, or BSZS - Bundessiegerzuchtschau which is another name (in Germany and in terms of beauty/structure)

I believe it is like club (OG) vs. regional (LG).
