Hi I would like to hear from yous

'What would be considered a good and normal weight for a 6 month workingline male german shepherd pup ?

Arty, if you use the Search Messageboard function with the words, "growth chart" you will find my threads on your topic.

Here's the thread that I read when our vet told us that Senta was underweight at 55 lbs (6 months old).

(sorry that the insert url function doesn't work for me)

my boy is 46lbs at 17 weeks

Dont worry about the number on the scale.  Can you see his two back ribs when he turns?  If so he is perfect weight

@brynjulf- agreed.

The charts only provide a rough estimate. Take a look at a weight chart for humans (eg. http://www.memorialhospital.org/library/general/weight-height_w.html)- are you in the number range for your height and frame? I'm at the high end of my range- at the low end, I look too thin. I prefer to use the "can I comfortably button my pants in the morning" criteria than a number on the scale.
