I HAVE BLACK SIMPSON LETTUCE. SPRING ONIONS, KALE,SPINACH,RADISHES, CUKES,2 KIND,STRAIGHT 8 AND PICKLEING.
3 TYPES OF PEPPERS HOT BANANA, JALIPNO, CAYENNE.
WE ALSO HAVE SUMMER SQUASH,ZUCKINNE AND OF COURSE TOMATOES.THERE IS 4 PLANTS OF CHERRY,4 PLANTS OF BUNCH,4 BIG BOY AND MY FAVORITE BETTER BOY. ALSO I SET OUT 50 BULBS FOR WHITE TEXAS HEAD ONIONS. NEVER PLANTED THES BEFORE???
THE RAIN IS SUPPOSE TO LET UP AMD JUST HAVE A LIGHT RAIN COME THROUGH ONCE IN AWHILE. 30% i think is what the weather man said.
when it does i will have to apply some fert. so things will grow . all of it washed out with all this rain.
i still don't have enough compose to go natural and organic.it will take 2 more years as this soil is so poor it qualifys for federal assistance.
i think a garden like your is so pretty and adds to the landscape. i fixed several of these for my clients when i was in landscaping.
i fenced off a 50 x 75 ares last fall. i plowed it and added about 4 inches of old potting soil and compose with chicken manure. won't have any potting soil thisytear but my friend who burnes wood at their shop would start saving his wood ashes and i will apply that to the garden also. i also have a compose pile going to add this fall along with more chicken manure.
noyhing better than a fresh bowl of mixed salad straight from your own garden.

Keith ....Very NICE.........: )
I really like the clean, organized look of raised beds....I like the the vertical accents of the trellis and tomatoe cages....The gravel between the beds is very nice looking and practical as well....
From the pics everything looks to be growing well....It must be because Axel is so diligently watching over it all.....: )
Enjoy your harvest...: )

My backyard is a real disaster- we've (*cough* my husband) just started working on it last fall (finally finished all the major renovations to the inside of the house). Martin's hoping to do some more stone work this fall.
Here's a shot to make everyone feel better about their own yards:
What?! You don't have a concrete mixer under a blue tarp in your yard?

Now, if you want to talk kitchens or bathrooms then I'm there ....

Lara, my backyard is worse. We were gone for almost 3 weeks and it rained the entire time. The grass is about a foot tall and until it quits raining it won't get mowed. The new dog runs got put in late last fall so they need to be tidyed up around and a lot of just plain crap needs to be hauled off. FOrtunately the dumpster will be here next week, the grass mowed and the area around the kennel straightened up.
I am waiting for the fence people to come back and put a top over one of the runs and we will be set.

I like your little raised beds they look great, and your vegs are streets in front of us over here.
My lettuce is just come through, I have my favourite Runner Beans planted out hope we do not get any more frosts and they look well, also the Marrow plants went out yesterday i grew them up along with the Runners in the conservatory, Most of my little plot is Roses The Three Dog Pens and the Pigeon Loft take up most of my garden I wished i had more space for Veg,
Things i like say Runner beans and Marrows they do not grow these in Belgium along with Parsnips but my ground is too heavy clay for those, the roots cannot get down despite the work done on the soil. I have also put a few Potatoes in plastic buckets, I cut the bottoms out and three on top of each other Just to see if i get anything come from them
The first flush of Roses are just coming out, I had to spray them for fly
At 5 O Clock this morning i put the two dogs in the trailer, they thought i was taking them training as the Roses are close to there pens, i put a sheet over the pen fronts and sprayed the roses before the wind got up, I hope it pays off
