I was just wondering if anyone can help me find video's of the WH Test. I have looked on youtube, but not sure if I searching for the right title.
Thanks

There are only a couple on Youtube, and nothing you might expect. However, my club had the WH in our last trial end of march. Both of my dogs achieved it. But sorry, no video. But I might be able to answer the questions you have.

I got a Watchdog title on one of my Shepherds.  I wish I had a video.  It was really fun.

Elkoorr, thank you for you response, I am going to try for the WH this weekend, I think it is going to be so much fun for my girl, I just wanted to see what it looked like.  I have read the rules but I am unclear about the Down Under Distraction, Do I leave her with an article?  The rules state:  "This exercise is executed as in VPG 1, except that an object with the max. size of a briefcase may be left with the dog."

Thank you in advance,
Kathy

Thats part of the obedience portion and is done like you would do a BH. You have the option to leave her with an article, but it is not required.

Did you have a chance to train the guarding parts?

Elkoorr  -  Thank you, I was not sure if it was required.  I have practiced the guarding parts, she did very well.  We put a blind at each end of the line and she had no problems chasing off the aggitators.  We practiced the area guarding and again she did very well, when the decoy aggitated her through the fence she threw herself on the fence and engaged him fiercly.  She loved that part, when I let her out she ran right to the hiding place and bark at him like she was doing a bark & hold.  Guarding an object is not an issue as well.  I think she will do well at this title, she loves to run and she loves to fight the decoy.  Anyways I guess we will see how she does on trial day, this Saturday!
Thanks,
Kathy

I found too that it was a lot of fun and something different for the dogs to train. My boy took things really seriously in protecting the article, and got so upset on the drag line that he lifted his leg to mark HIS territory after fending off both "intruders".

Apache during heeling with judge Warren Jones...... and proof of him being an a$$! Sadly I dont have a pic with the briefcase of him.

My girl Tunguska first watching the crowd walk by, and then the attempt to steal the briefcase.

Good luck with the test!
