My old GSD, Dallas. <3
BUt if we are taking about famous dogs, I'd say the American-showline, Kismet's Sight for Sore Eyes "Dallas", whom my Dallas was named after. :) Something about him completely mystified me, and for an American line, he is truly awesome. He is what got me into the breed.... we had had shepherds before, but he just got me back into them, I guess.

Quanto Jipo-Me, Beauty + Character + Working ability
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=479044
The first impression of a good German Shepherd Dog is that of a strong, agile, well muscled animal, alert and full of life. It is well balanced, with harmonious development of the forequarter and hindquarter. The dog is longer than tall, deep-bodied, and presents an outline of smooth curves rather than angles. It looks substantial and not spindly, giving the impression, both at rest and in motion, of muscular fitness and nimbleness without any look of clumsiness or soft living. The ideal dog is stamped with a look of quality and nobility--difficult to define, but unmistakable when present. Secondary sex characteristics are strongly marked, and every animal gives a definite impression of masculinity or femininity, according to its sex.

Yes, I have not met him in person but love his conformation; and very very handsome which does not hurt. My favorite from Am Show lines is of course Manhattan; but I also love Yello Von St. Michaels Berg; not sure if I spelled it all correctly but I am sure you know whom I mean; also love Dennis Rhoades special male Eryx Vom ??; for perfect conformation Voodoo Hartis Bohemia. Thx all. Nan

FOR ME IT HAS TO BE AM. AND CANADIAN CHAMPION COVY TUCKER HILL'S MONTE ALBAN. ONE OF THE GREATS OF ALL TIME. I HAD A BITCH THAT HE SIRED BACK IN THE EIGHTIES AND SHE WAS A TRULY ONE OF THE BEST GSD'S (MALE OR FEMALE) THAT I EVER OWNED. WOULD DO WHATEVER I ASK OF HER. I STILL MISS HER TO THIS DAY.
