Cascade, affiliated with DVG, USCA, AWMA, and WDSA (Working Dutch Shepherd Association) hosts another of its patented trials this weekend.    We have entries from  Washington (including Spokane on the other side of the state) Oregon and Utah.   Andrea Duggan-Jantzen will be judging.   All are welcome.

(Except miscreant assholes who cannot behave themselves. and refrain from being disruptive.  They will be ejected)

It was an enjoyable trial, and the rain seemed to magically hold off through Sunday's OB and Protection, and didn't begin until just after the last dog finished.

I wish I could have made it Sunday. I did enjoy myself Saturday. It was also very nice to meet everyone as well.

AJ's helper work on Sunday was very nice to watch, and I enjoyed the judge's critques.
There was a very gorgeous DAAAAAAARK black sable that I'm anxious to see again- he did not put on a good showing, but I liked him regardless, and I want to see him work at his best.

AJ had a little 9 week old weiner dog pup. My 9 year old skin kid had a blast with it. I'm glad AJ was feeling well enough to work Sunday. :)

He had the puppy out in the spectator parking during the OB, too.

I swear, those tiny little legs were pumping a million miles a minute trying to keep up with their giant master.

It was a great weekend. We had entries from Washington,Oregon,Idaho,Utah and Colorado. We even had a few visitors from Utah. They all arrived earlier in the week and trained from Monday on at the field. The Utah folks will be back in July for our annual seminar. With babies being born and other family emergencies, we did not have the usual blow-out lunch and raffle. Still, everyone had a great time. It was wonderful to see old friends from Oregon, and making new friends. Rosie from Utah is a hoot and I hope she relocates here. Utah Scott kept me howling Friday, too. I am looking forward to their return. Next week is a joint training day with Snohomish Sch Club in preparation for their trial May 7. AJ is doing the helperwork at that trial, too. :-)

Forgot to mention:   The trial helper had been ill with the flu for a couple of weeks.  He literally arose from his sick bed on Saturday.  All protection was moved to Sunday, to give him another day to recover.  But, would he listen?  Noooooo!   After we were done on Saturday, he worked dogs for people, including those not entered in the trial,  despite entreaties from club members,  and others, not to do so.    He then went on to do a fantastic job on Sunday with all of the trial dogs.

Cascade is fortunate to have multiple  talented helpers,  and gained yet another this weekend!!  smiley
Thanks to El Jefe, Les Flores,  Training Director par Excellence, and all 'round Good Guy.

Next:  John Soares Workshop and Seminar   July 16 & 17.   WDSA ( Working Dutch Shepherd Association) trial July 23.
