New way to see a list of modified pedigrees:
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/latest.pedigreechange
It's only the last 300 entries for now (I have edit and deletion logs for many years
)
Will go under the other "Latest" on the left navigation.

Thanks Oli.
This was brought up before... but is there anyway to add a tattoo/microchip space on the pedigree? Even better if it could be "searchable".

Well, at least this page makes it easy to see when someone is having a hissy fit changing spree...

WOW! Livelywillow has been VERY busy!
Oli, I've often come across duplicate entries, especially for well-known dogs. Often I've seen as many as 4 or 5 different entries for the same dog. Slight variations in spelling and punctuation are usually at fault. When, as a public service to the database, I've tried to correct or delete them, I have rarely been successful. (If it's an American dog, I will first check the AKC website to get the EXACT spelling. For other dogs, I'll check the breeder's website.) Even when I'm the one that's made the mistake, I often find I can't change it without first deleting some of the other dogs I'd entered (progeny).
Yet this crazy person can come on here and delete nearly THREE HUNDRED DOGS??
What's with that, when it's so hard to make legitimate changes?

Friend of mine just deleted a pedigree (of MINE) that was a duplicate. She had no trouble LOL

Dogs without progeny can be deleted with 2 clicks.

Maybe that could be changed - so deletions would have to be done by mods or admin and not by "any Joe"? Really the only reason to legitimately delete a pedigree would be for duplicates - so just make it impossible to delete without notification to mods to do it.

It would be good if there were a "MERGE" option for duplicates so that the progeny etc entered on both could be blended. Often someone enters a dog as "V Doggie Von Kennel" without looking to see that it's already in there as "Doggie Von Kennel". Titles are not part of the dog's name, but in addition to the name... well they should be... lol
