Interesting SAR work being done in Japan. Wide range of breeds but the story is following a very nice GSD.

I wonder why disaster dogs don't wear some sort of protective booty to keep them from injuring their feet on sharp objects?

Thanks for sharing this. What a heart-warming video. Disaster dogs typically are not clothed in anything, because of the "snag" factor. Any type of clothing can get caught up in all kinds of stuff. I know...the booties could be super beneficial, but just too risky. The biggest risk (I think), in an environment like this (other than their limbs) is their noses. They are breathing in a lot of garbage, but that is the risk unfortunately. They are absolutely heroes!
