Who is it? Name, DOB, what do you do w/him/her...etc. Working lines that you show, or showlines? Are there still real working lines??? I know next to nothing about the current state of those dogs.

Jennie, He is CH Quiches Intrepid Captain Sully CGC. Son of Quiches Demetrius who was the number 1 all breed dog in Canada in 2009 and was the group winner at Westminster in 2010. He has big shoes to fill for sure. Demetrius has 58 BIS and BISS in his career. He was born Jan 19,2009 He is going to be shown this year and finish his Grand Championship. Next year I am going to campeign him once he is fully mature. Bouviers do not fully mature until they are 3 to 4 years old. This photo was taken the day he became a champion and was 17 months old at the time. On the dames side he is out of the Overstort lines.

Gorgeous. He brings back memories. My parents house backed up to Belco Kennels owned by Edmee Bowles. She established a resistance network during WWII by sending information inside collars of her bouviers. She escaped to the US and brought her male Belco with her. Her kennel was there when we moved in the late 60's. I used to love watching the Bouvier pups romp in the field behind my house. I hadn't seen a Bouvier for years after her kennel closed down until last year, when I got to see a guy I train with put Schutzhund titles on a female.. Very cool dog.

Cheryl, when your speaking of Miss Bowels we in the Bouvier community look upon her with much respect. She in fact paved the way for many of the imported lines that are predominate in the breed today. It is sad that her origional lines ( Beloc and Marius) are all but gone today but I guess that is what happens no matter what the breed is. When you stop and think about it she left such an inprint its hard to believe she was born in the 1890's and not still with us. Both my male and female I plan to breed in April can be traced back to her breeding in the mid 50's and my males linage can be traced back to 1909 to a bitch named Bella. Steve

Hi Steve: Her kennel was a staple in the Collegeville Pa area for years. She certainly lived a long full live and we were saddened when her kennel closed down. I just wished that I would have had the opportunity to know her personally. I know she kept an impeccable kennel and her dogs were always well taken care of and exercised. My older brother new more about her than I did and told me about her life just a few years ago. Very sad that her lines are all but gone. Her story is truly "movie" worthy. I cannot think of my childhood home, without thinking of her kennel and those beautiful dogs romping in the field behind our house.
