When I was Show Secretary for my first WDA show I allowed people in the ring. Of course I did not know better and I am not the kind of
person to throw someone out. I received a phone call from a then board member (she is back on again) and was told no one should be in
the ring except the judge, show sec'y and someone helping. If you attended NASS this past weekend there were up to 15 people in the ring
at any given time. Working? Of course not.....but the show secretary said nothing. Of course that was the ONLY time she did not say antying.
Personally I am sick of the jealousy, back stabbing and meaness at the dog shows. We, who put on the shows, work very hard to make it pleasant
and enjoyable for exhibitors and spectators. But NO one has a good time with all the tension in the air. Aren't we supposed to attend a dog show for
fun and enjoyment? When did it become so negative? I am tired of working my ass off and not having any fun or worrying who is going to bad
mouth who, or worse.
Let's start acting like adults and 'take it outside' if you have a problem with someone. I want to have fun again.
