VKGSDs, I'm so sorry for your loss. She looks like she was a beautiful girl. We had small toy breed dogs growing up and while cute, they are not my favorite type of pet. And I can relate fairly well to the introversion. I have always been introverted growing up and just recently (late highschool) started to break out of my shell a little bit. I am a fairly open/friendly person when approached but I think b/c of my personality I appear somewhat standoffish. But I really am looking forward to getting involved in the different types of training/clubs/etc. I'm hoping to find something closer than a 2hr drive though

Thanks for sharing your experience. It is so good to hear from someone who had sucess with this breed as a first-time dog owner. And once again you have my condulances.
