Elkoor, you say the dog isn't backed into a corner, right? Well I'd disagree. Having your ass against a fence, a shrub to your left, and a latino in front of you definitely is a challenge. What does the dog do? It stares to its left and at the ground.

I see RAGE SYNDROME. Didn't know lab's had it but it would make sense as they have been bred to death and this is the outcome of being bred to death. Really not a pretty picture. Don't know why they felt they had to show this on video or TV. Really not what anyone needs to see for dog training or for the Lab breed. Really sad and very uncalled for.

Elkoor, would you consider a horse rearing up and throwing himself over backwards, then scrubbing his back on on the ground every time he's saddled a behavioral issue? I got a horse like that twenty four years ago. Every one who tried to work with him said he was crazy, and that he would end up killing anyone who ever got on his back...that would very likely happen since this horse would rear and jump up off the ground as he threw himself over on his back. Definitely would make mush out of any one in the saddle. I'm a trainer and I "solved" that horse's "behavioral issue" BECAUSE I'm a trainer, not because of "whispering" bs. Bhaugh, you took the words right out of my mouth; Milan got bit just like any dope sticking his hand where it didn't belong ,because he MISJUDGED either the dog or his own whispering juju or both. If he was a trainer he would have had at least a lead on the dog so that he could control the situation. If he's not a trainer, then he needs to leave jobs like that dog for a trainer to work with. He doesn't have any special powers like he pretends to have. By the way, that "crazy" horse is twenty seven years old now, looks like a ten year old. I used him for fifteen years performing all over the US and Canada, did a Merrill Lynch commercial with him, Paint Horse Journal liked him enough to do an article on him.....one of the great horses I've owned.

I actual watched the episode last night. Would have made for an interesting discussion. Too bad this went down the juju road. I dont want to waste yours and my time; got to go and trial tonight.

IMO, which isn't worth much lol..I watched the whole episode last week,,
I think Cesar did take some risks in dealing with this dog, but I would love to have Cesars nerve!!,,I admire his calm energy..
A dog bite is not the end of the world and Cesar was willing to take the risk,,,
I think the story did end well..He advised the owners to leave the dog with him as this was not the dog for their particular situation.
By the end of the episode Cesar had the dog eating out of the bowl while his hand was in the bowl...

But...did he take this as an educational opportunity and let anyone see how he accomplished the end result ?

Joanro,,
Cesar took the dog to his compound to interact with his pack..He found that the dog had insecurity issues..
He used a fake hand and changed the position of the bowl to help condition the dog to be less aggressive,,
He took the dog home and showed his young son interacting with the dog through OB before eating,,
At the end of the episode Cesar had the dog eating out of the bowl with his hand in it while the owners where there. He wanted them to see the progress she was making, but was clear that this dog needed to stay with him..
The ending was bittersweet,,but I believe Cesar made the right decision for the dog and the family...
Cesar said the end result was this dog needed an experienced handler,,
