I have shot dogs harassing dairy cattle.. and that was after warning the owner several times.
Another thing you can do is install an electric fence along the outside of your fence and use a serious controller on it (low impedance). This is a real electric fence like they use for cattle. Most dogs never come back when the have been jolted by one of those babies. You need to string the wire so they will hit it.
Good thing about using an e fence is that it usually works very well after only one hit and it really does no harm to the dog.

Looks like I'll be buyin gan airhorn and borrowing a paint ball gun for a while. We use to have one, but never used it anymore so we got rid of it. Guys, one more thing.....The fields belong to our family, mostly to my grandparents who are still alive, though some of it will be mine eventually (I'm not saying they're dying soon, I'm just saying, they're most likely giving me some more of it)..... Anyway, there are also....chickens and roosters from the trailer park coming into the field behind our yard, and even close to our fence. The go in my grandparents yard (it's a field over, no fence there though) and they even get in their sheds....They don't care, but with those coming up close to our fence too.....and the fact that I have Huskies....I think you guys know what my dogs would do with one of those if they got out of our fence. I know they're from the trailer park because I remember when they first started walking out of the holes of the fence that goes along the trailer park itself. They just kind of wander around now. Once summer hits, we let the grass grow up in the fields.....so that really won't matter then, but for the time being it's frustrating as well. Not to mention that stupid rooster crows literally throughout the whole entire day and even at night sometimes. I just wish he'd shut up (sorry, I'm venting haha). I'll hear him, and then I'll hear one off in the far distance over and over at times.

You can feed raw chicken LOLOL
I'd paintball them too, and if it killed the bird, then I'd feed it to the dogs, minus feathers and poo

haha melba....You have no idea how tempted I was to take the adult dogs in the field and just let them hunt the roosters and chickens. I trust themon recall (to actually bring the chickens back with them too haha).....obviously I won't do this, but oh how tempting. My dogs saw them yesterday and they really wanted to go after them. I just had to tell my guys to leave it, and we went up to the front part of our yard.

Hi, im not sure how the law lies where you are but the reason i said ''I think if you call Animal control and tell them they are pulling out your trash, barking at you and bullying your dog/s that may get them to do something about them.'' is because in this country pulling out trash and barking at you states they are being ''aggressive pests'', i did not say that you said they were pulling out trash etc i simply suggested you say that to animal control to push the point across, anyway was trying to help, good luck and fingers crossed you get rid of them.

mimi, I'm not going to lie, I try not to do that in all situations. Not to mention if they came out and saw that we don't even have garbage outside....... And then if they saw how friendly the dogs really are.....Aside from that, if they're not going to come when my own dog was attacked and pinned by the throat.....Do you really believe they'll come because of a couple of friendly dogs who are just "visiting" (though it be too much to the point it's a risk of one of my dogs getting out and getting killed)? I do appreciate your comments though, and thanks for trying to help.

Hey, I had one young dog that broke out because the chickens were tormenting him. He tore that bird limb from limb...
I figured the bird was already dead, no use pulling him off so I let him eat it. He's the only one I've ever had that would
eat what he killed :) That dog is a certified Narc K9 down in TX now. Needless to say, I no longer keep chickens... LOL

I really like the paint ball idea but I like my air horn.
It keeps everything away! Charlie has killed 3 cats, a bird, a squirrel many gohpers & moles
oh & 2 shrews. She has a very healthly respect for Bobbie the Burro. I think she can really
see how we are trying to keep Bobbie going ( Bobbie is a rescue prject of mine ).
Charlie is now conditioned to the air horn, so she will book outside ASAP to see what she
might catch/kill! Oh, by the way! The squirrel was a 240.00 vet bill. Charlie won & killed the
little bugger but our pocket book lost! So that is when we bought the air horns.....LOL! ;)
It also keeps the bob cats away

haha, Melissa, my youngest would probably eat them too lol. This is the dog who has eaten frogs before.......I was told frogs secrete this incredibly nasty odor when something picks them up like that......Well, I believe that because when his littermate was here at 8 weeks, he picked up a frog and then immediately just spit it back out with this look on that puppy's face was priceless.......Little Dude however.....I've seen him catch them, and he's also eaten them. He's killed birds, moles, and even killed a snake once. We've had things like cats get in our yard in the past.....needless to say they didn't make it out of the yard alive. I didn't know they were there until my pack found them....One was in the wheel well of my car....needless to say, even though it tried to scratch the crap out of Sierra, she just reached in there with her mouth and grabbed it, and as it tried to claw her......Sierra literally screamed in rage as she shook it in her mouth and killed it. In just a few seconds it was dead. She's a dog that could be a therapy dog towards humans, a dog who is so gentle and submissive towards little children and nice and calm around strangers.....but when the preditor side comes out towards small prey, she's a whole different dog. I joke about her though saying, if she was to bite you....you'd probably win the lottery and get struck by lightning....in the same day... She's perfect around strangers, kids, us, etc. And then my oldest male Max got a cat once too. I let the pack outside, and within seconds there was growling.....went around the front of the yard to see what happened....apparently a cat (the biggest domestic cat I've seen in my life) was in our yard. Max was laying down holding this thing in his mouth with a death grip on it.
