Owning a well bred dog is a privilege only for the deserving.

I agree. There would be issues with the dog later-I would have told him to get in his car and get his ass off of my property.
I have refused to sell for less reason. It's only money.

NO:  kudo's to you for being able to read this idiot.  I was put in a similar situation with an animal control officer that doomed me from the moment he walked into my door.  Was looking for a playmate for his female (pet and spayed) and wanted another pet boy for his girl.  Looked at me like I had a horn coming out of my head when I told him that the CHAMPION SIRE I owned and YES he was on this property.  "OH I SEE, you mean you own the father also"??  Why YES I do and gave me the most disgusting look and finally said,  well I don't see anything I am interested in and FINALLY Left.  JHC  What a piece of shit.  Nan

Great call, the pup needs a GOOD home

Someone like that is trouble.  Better to send them on their way.  The puppy needs a home where he/she is really wanted and appreciated.

Best Regards,
Cheryl

Was this potential buyer aware of the $2,000 price, before he arrived at your place, or was it a case of "sticker shock" when he got there?

That's right Nan. You come into MY house and say sideways things about MY animals? Hit the bricks, Pal.

Abhay, if they didn't know the price beforehand, they are bigger idiots than we thought. Who doesn't ask the price before they go see puppies?  I'm interested to know too.

Not a breeder, but I am a rescue foster home, and our rescue's guidelines say that every member of the household must be in favor of adopting the dog, or they don't get to adopt.  You did the right thing.
