Just tried to post this but something went awry. Obviously user error on my part!
Our 8 year old male was diagnosed with UAP at 7 months of age. He was returned to the breeder for lameness which ended up being a combo of Pano and UAP. The breeder took him back to place him in a pet home and that's where I came in.
The breeder was willing to pay for the surgery to correct the issue. However, 2 ortho consults later and both vets agreed that it wasn't severe enough to warrant surgery. It was actually graded very mild (a 1 or 2 on the scale). Surprisingly, he has been limp free up until the last 2 months. He goes in for a dental cleaning on August 5th and I'll have x-rays done at that time of his elbow to see what it looks like. More than likely he'll have surgery this fall (once I can take 15-20 lbs off of him) to clean out the joint.
