"Designer dogs" = big bucks - the health testing. I call it, a "glorified game of K9 mixology". My husband came home the other day, and told me his boss put a deposit on a "labradoodle". Apparently, it's rings in at a handsome price of $2,500! I laughed (after articulating my utter disdain). People get so sucked in, and romanticized by breeders touting the best of the best. I see this bastardization of my breed so often, and it happens to a lot of good breeds. Personally, keep breeds true to their original purpose/breedingm

Don't know if 89 disoders is true or not. 

I agree with those who think if you want a mixed breed, get one at the shelter.  Why pay so much money for them?  As long as there are those who are willing to pay for them, breeders will keep breeding them!

What I think of them can be summed up by one of their "designer dogs" names..........you cross a male shitzu and a female pit-bull and you get a ...........
