Geez get real! Can't even ask about a dog food and give info about what one was told? Maybe someone knows more about the company and if they import ingredients or have their own US sources?

I am in the process of switching to this food. Primitive to be exact. So far everyone loves it!! The only odd thing that I have noticed is that everyone seems to be much more thursty on this food. I do notice in all of their info pages on the website it stresses that you should always have fresh water available... I know this is SOP but the increase has been VERY noticable in my dogs. Anyone else noticed this?? Wonder why? I have a call in to the manufacturer to discuss this and where their ingredient sourses are from.

I have not tried Earthborn yet but I notice that with Orijen; my whole pack was incredible thirsty and I attribute this to too much salt added. You know salt is a mineral as well as a preservative so I figured they added too much salt. Nan

I've not noticed any change in their intake of water....I'll watch even closer, now that you've mentioned it.
The dogs are really liking the food...and have had no problems with the switch.

I was talking with an owner of a pet store who appears somewhat knowledgeable about pet nutrition. I was telling her about the Earthborn Primitive that I have feeding my Dane. I mentioned that I noticed an increase in thirst with my Dane since making the switch. The lady mentioned that she noticed increased drinking when she started feeding Orjien. Her veterinarian said that an increase in thirst is common due to increased protein level.....Just wanted to pass that on.....
