Hi everybody, I would like to hear that the SV reversed his decision. Still, i doubt it very much. I do not want to say that anyone is posting knowingly something wrong, but that would mean that the SV is changing his own regulations and laws midterm. Not only that, it would also mean that the Statues of the SV would have to be changed. I do not believe that that can be done that easy. Beside that, if the SV would do that, i would have to rethink my membership with the SV. It would awfully look like that they are doing what they feel like to do, and the ordinary member has to life by their rules. Once again, it would be great if they COULD reverse their decision, but they cannot if they stick with their own rules. Excuse my bad english - i¿m trying hard !!

well it would be an absolute shame not to include some of the top Nero offspring in the show ring. Some of the puppies i have seen are very good.

Hi perle3, i agree. But the way the rules are written, i believe they cannot go out of their way, if they do not want to loose their face. Matter of fact, it¿s not the SV¿s fault that there are greedy peopel out there that do not stick with the rules, because they want to make big $$$$. These peopel should be banned out off our breed and brought to justice.

I have heard many rumors about the Nero situation. Does anyone know the facts? Did Nero have elbow surgery and what was the surgery for - an injury or genetic defect? It seems what is important to know is if the progeny are of sound health or if they are carrying a gene which should not be passed on. Also, I believe it is hypocrical to put all this emphasis on hip and elbow problems but not look at the other serious genetic health issues in the breed. For example, how many breeders knowingly breed dogs and bitches that are know to have allergies and/or produce offspring with allergies. This is a big problem with GSD's, it is genetic and no one seems to take it seriously.
