The Von Batu kennel name is owned by Herr Erich Orschler(who is a medical supply company CEO), the SV Vice President. The city on all Von Batu Ahnentafals is Konigsee/Unterschoblng(his home address). However, there is no one Von Batu Kennel. There are three breeders stratigically placed around Germany that raise/breed dogs under the Von Batu name for Herr Orschler. One of those breeders is located south of Nuernberg, in the northern Bavarian villiage of Trabitz. This breeder, I know, does not do computers or the internet. He is an old school fellow that has been breeding, showing, ect, for over 35 years. I am in contact with him(he is a long time family friend) and when I send pictures of my litters, or the dog I purchased from him, I email his daughter and she shows him the pictures. The only Von Batu link I know of is the one for Ursus(http://www.beepworld.de/members54/vonbatu/). You can visit this link of my home page(http://www.svhunde.com/Imports.htm) and see/view pictures of that breeder and the "Von Batu" Kennel that is in Trabitz. That kennel is in the general area of the famed US Army training facility, "Grafenwhor".

If you want or interested in puppies from "Von Batu", email me. I talk to that breeder at least once a week and can let you know of who is being bred with who and when puppies are available.

SGBH- Do these three different kennels deal with different "Batu" bloodlines or do they share the same dogs? I have seen a few pedigrees (including a dog i have) that has some really good working style dogs with the Batu name but not related to the popular dogs of late.

I am only familiar with the kennel in Trabitz. Not familiar with "dfferent Batu Bloodlines", only that there is one Von Batu Kennel name, that is owned by Herr Orschler, for as long as he lives, and then that kennel name will cease to exist. I never inquired as to the other operations, because it did not concern me, and I ASSUMED(bad position to be in) that it was pretty much the same as the one in Trabitz.

Dear Mr Sudarsan, I bring to your kind attention the following: 1. Can we get more judges in India from UK and America. For GSDs why do we not have a panel from Germany. 2. Does the KCI take to task erring judges.See the Gurgaon show. The judge needs to be fined. 3.Can we make the judges report more quantative. Do judges file a report with the KCi after the show. Is there a KCI panel which studies the judges report vis a vis the dog. 4.I am sorry to say you have not brought into the KCi many judges like you. Whatever anyone must say about you I believe that there are few who can match you for judging skills. 5. The GSD club is going to dogs- ha! Ha!. There is not one meeting convened after committee selection. Lets face it the entire selection in this club and the voting etc is a farce- Sanjay's bank, this Bank Manager is the returning officer, etc etc. The same election held in a nuetral place would have had different results. Anyway we are all preared to turn a blind eye to all this as long as the club works. If it is too much for Mr. Desai can he not be advised an Emiritus position. The biggest part is that the President does not like to Speak to Mr. deasi. How will this move forward. There is so much more possible.THE COMMITTEE shold also exert some pressure on the Secretary There are a no. of commited people in the club who can move things forward but with the office bearers sleeping and the chapters all over defunct this Club will soon be FINITO 6. Mr Sudarsan, if we are more transparent we will last longer. I understand that we in high offices cannot be transparent in all areas but it is important that we move matters and thru dynamism in leadership we can exercise control. So if Nagraj Setty must win the dog of the year this year, we are not bothered- we are not expecting any tranparency from you on that- we also know what the Club stands to gain. But what worries is things like Gurgaon, GSDCI, Club President not on cordial terms with Secretary etc etc.. 7. It may also be a good exercise if you check no. of entries actually exhibited in any pointed show as against those a few years ago- actually you can get a yearly pattern- it may give you an insight into where the dog game is headed. You may find that is some places it is on the rise , in others the figure is falling. IF IT IS FALLING EVERYWHERE THEN YOU NEED TO BE CONCERNED. AND LET US REMEMBER THAT WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THE NO. OF ENTRIES IN THE SHOW BOOK BUT ACTUALLY HOW MANY HAVE PARTICIPATED. In areas where the actual no. of entries are falling every year you need to pull up the people concerned and make efforts to improve the dog game there
