White shepherds... There are two types, the "American White Shepherd" (not a breed), and the Berger Blanc Suiss ("Swiss White Shepherd"), an FCI registered breed.

The Berger Blanc is not structurally the same as the American White Shepherd (a non-recognized breed, except with things like the Continental Kennel Club and other mock registries), nor are papers for the two interchangeable. As I understood it, a Berger Blanc could be cross-registered into the Continental Kennel Club, American Pet Registry (etc), but a white GSD registered as one of those could not be registered up as a Berger Blanc.

Hi WhiteShepherd,

I think your dog is pretty, she looks to be the perfect pet, I think also that her color will darken up
a bit as she matures, to a darker biege.

Your dog looks as though she was only bred for her color, she has no bone on her for a GSD,
also her parents have no health checks, or maybe you're not done filling it out.

She seems to have no substance, she just looks ordinary, but that is from a breeders point of view,

I was looking at her relatives, and noticed there's a Panda Shepherd & a blue & white pup,

the dogs in the pedigree do not look alert, they look sad to me......

Your dog on the other hand looks happy and alert............

that's just my opinion...... I owned a WGSD and he has since passed and my son & I were talking
about getting another, the only place I would purchase another WGSD would be from a lady in Ma.
Susan has the best WGSD's she does tons of obedience with all her dogs, and they look and are happy
to be doing something, and not just being used to breed.       www.geocities.com/braeheadk9

As with Mirasmom, I agree this dog looks like a good pet, but not a breeding dog. I don't see her as having anything to bring to the table, breeding-wise. That being said, there is nothing wrong with having a nice pet dog.

I meant the muzzle was to long.I would like to see the head  and muzzle a little more on the square side.

I Had fostered this male for a Humane Society near me,  until we found the right home for him.  He was going to be put to sleep, because they thought he was too aggressive.      My sister in law worked there and she was the only one that would go in the kennel and get him.   She knew how to handle shepherds better than any one there because , I had taught her how to watch mine for me when I would leave town.    She begged me to please come see him even though he was White.    So,  I did !

He was a really Neat Dog !    The reality was that he was a Perfect GSD Temperment.      He was 100% socially stable, but he was also so confident, that if there was a real threat, he would defend.    My daughter, had him doing  sit, down, shake , speak.

He was such a neat dog , that he could have swayed me into whites.

"It is when the inside of the dog shines brighter than the outside,   that is when he is Gorgeous ! "

My white one was always smiling. He also had a nice black nose and  dark eyes .His coat stayed very white no tan any where on him at all.He looked like the one jamile posted only his eyes were darker.Out of respect for him when he died  went out and bought myself a solid black and solid black were not to popular back then either. My white was a free dog I got from a friend . To this day when I see a solid black I think of my white dog.

People have already mentioned about a better position for the stack, but hey, she is standing there alone and not being held. Shows you have already put some training into her. Good Dog Mom! I tell my puppy buyers that from aobut 9 months to about 16-18 months their dog will be in the ugly coyote stage...unless they feed it too much. Then the dog looks 'better' because it has a blanket of fat that gives the illusion of substance.

She looks out of coat. With maturity and hair, and a bit better stack she will look 'prettier' to those of us wh do not know her, but to you who loves her, I suspect she is gorgeous already!  She is not likely to be 'show quality' even if she was a standard color, but that does not affect how you will love each other, and the fun you can have together for many years to come!

There is actually less difference between the WSSD (BBS) and the WSD than most people think....like the GSD there is a variety of types, both here and the overseas.

From the WGSD folks you tend to see more angulation more similiar to the dogs you see in the AKC showring.  From the WSD/WSSD folks you tend to see less angulation in the rear, and from the WSSD you tend to see alot of coats and alot more shallow chests.

As far as registration...there is the FCI registration that comes with their recognition, and many of the FCI registries will accept AWSA registration (AWSA is the parent club for the WSD in the US...pushing for AKC recognition.)  The UKC also registeres WSDs, and for the WGSDs there is the WGSDCA and WGSDCI.

As far as your dog....The stack doesnt help much....dont put the left rear so far forward...in fact I wouldnt put it much more than a foot or so in front of the other foot...she has less angulation in the rear (which I like) but as a result you need a less sever stack.  Stacking also helps if you have more than one person...three is ideal...one for holding the leash, one for holding he camera, and the third for holding the dogs attention....you want her to lean a little bit further forward on her front end.  The cream in the coat is kind of a woo woo thing....doesnt really matter to most folks.

I tend to like more bone and a better earset, and she could use better pigment on her nose...past that I am hesitant to critique because the standards of the WSD and the WGSD are different.

I understand the young and lankies...both my puppies are in that phase themselves...and I am putting together a running regiment for them...which helps some :)

What lines is she from / who are her parents?
