Yup, sounds like bile. Some dogs will vomit bile on an empty stomach. I know that mine will. :)

Yep my dog does this also when he has an empty stomach. I have always fed him twice a day, but after cleaning up the "yummy yellow" three times now, I have started fedding him a little at bed time. I usually only get about three warning hacks before the load comes up, LOL! Unfortunately this is just enough time for me to rush down the hall way to see the puddle.

My guys it's usually late morning for some reason if it's going to happen. Will usually give them an extra cookie or so before heading out to work. It does not seem to be exercise related for them. But I've seen all three do it. The one luckily if I'm home when it happens to him will actually "ask" to go out and vomit his bile. But just simply giving them cookies seems to help....
