Print out all important stuff and put it in a ziplock bag(s), and copied onto stick drives

Med records copied to a memory stick.
dog records copied to another memory stick.
all other important contact on yet another memory stick (they're cheap).
credit card accnt numbers and cancelation phone numbers, bank acct numbers etc. (hide this memory stick in a really good place)
Just incase something happens to you, keep all instructional records printed out, and in the glovebox. You want to name a few someones to be notified to come and get your dog and take care of it until you are able. If not your dog will go to the pound, if you cannot pick him up - who know what they will do.

Make sure you dog has your cell phone number on his collar.

Lesson learnd from Hurricane Ike. Our computer didn't like the car ride and decided to crash (must have been jarred or something) .....Everything was on it. We had to take it to a shop to have the disk migrated. Took a lot of time - with dogs and kids in car............lots of whining and complaining - and not just by the kids!

Before you leave home , make sure you have a   Revocable Living Trust or a Will in place and leave it with a family member..   A lot of us forget that Government laws are funny and the fact you will not be    IN residence....will need to be put in writing , that you are to be taken back to     +++++++++++++ place and under whose authority, which is the successor trustee or the Excuetrix or Excuetor of your will and the DOG must also be put in writing along with your wishes....

You can get a copy of all these documents  at local   print shops and Save On   , I believe is the name of one of the printer shops , which you  may or may not have in your area////

Keep a copy with you also in zip lock bag in the glove box.
