Mystere

they should look around and see which neighbor owns a sneaky black/white intact male dog LOL  ZERO chance this pup is purebred.  The rest of the litter may have been, but this one was sired by sneaky neighbor border collie or beagle-dog.

Sneaky!! HOWLING!!

I just emailed the lady and told her that she does not have a purebred GSD, and also referred her to this site in case she thought I was making it up, lol.

 >Can they actually register this dog as a purebred and get away with it?<

Sadly, yes they can, UNLESS someone sends a photo of the pup to AKC.  Somebody's heinz 57 bred this pup's mother, without the dam's owners realizing.  It happens more than you think.

It is possible that the puppy is a German Shepherd Mix, it is not possible that its a purebred German Shepherd Dog.

I had a Siamese can that I pred to another Siamese cat. Most of the kittens came out as expected, one was spotted. come to find out, the male cat only looked pure bred, it was infact half fence jumper...........I wasn't a happy breeder.

I wonder if both parents are full bred registered dogs?

The parents certainly look full bred. And from what I can tell the supposed to be sire is nice looking dog. But as said before if these people cant tell something is wrong, they have no buisness breeding. Its really sad!

Mum of Zoe...haha you sure probably made them mad. But they do need to realize. Have you heard anything back?

The people who put the puppy up for sale contacted me back, here is his message:

"Hello, good to here some feedback, we had some people to inquire about the colors. The fence that you see the mother in is a fence within a fence. ( that's the fence we put her in at that given time to keep her and the male separated until we purchased a high fenced kennel to keep them separated to avoid mating. We have a huge back yard and that fence was put in a long time ago for our other dogs. We have never had a problem with her jumping the main fence ( Which is much higher in the front )and no other dog has been able to get in because we have three German shepherds dogs in the back and if a dog did get in sure would had been a terrible scuffle. My German shepherd dog had 4 pups and two were born black with tan and the other two black, white with tan. Now this is her 5 litter and the last !! but the first litter and so on she has always had pups with white in them for some reason, I called the AKC concerning this color in question( when she had her first litter) and I was informed that it happens but it is rare and also the breeder whom we purchased the Sire and Dam from said that none of the parents had no mistake of mating with any other dogs. Our vet said that she believes that there is Australian in the blood line. Well I don't know but if you are interested in purchasing our last beautiful puppy let us know, we have
AKC papers on the Sire and Dam and the puppy is registered as well.

P.S. Here is a picture of one of the pups from the other litter whom also was born with black, tan and white, he sure grew up to become a handsome dog!!!! (the first picture)

Here is a picture of one of her pups that we kept and he also was born black, white and tan and you can see how his colors changed more like the Dam's colors.

Having ACD genes would account for the white/grey spotted muzzle, but they must really be diluted for just the muzzle to show.  The rest of the dogs' bodies look like stereotypical GSD.  The fact that the AKC didn't seem to have a problem with registering puppies of a mixed heritage as purebred completely disqualifies them as a reputable establishment, in my eyes at least.

I was really surprised that he replied back to me.  He sounds really nice, just clueless about his dogs.  Ah well.
