 Jim

Thanks for all that god information. I did a lot of that stuff with my male and I saw a huge difference between my female which was my first and my male which was my second. One thing that attracted me to this pup is that when i saw her i played a little with her and i tried to bother her by playing with her face. She bit me on my finger with her razors for teeth and made me bleed. I am starting to get new scars thanks to her. I am going to have different commands for her which is something that i did not do with my other two.  At this time i am going to do exactly what you say Jim. I am going to let her be a land shark and drive me crazy.
I have taken her on many car rides and to populated areas like in front subway or a shopping center. I also tried different surfaces and she did very well. She is going to be a good one.

Hey Mark, you learn from every dog and can make changes which benefit the next dog.  Let her be a puppy, soon enough you'll be thinking, I can't believe she was so small once.  Take lots of pictures and videos.  Good luck with her.

I really hate to say this, but sometimes you gotta just take them down a notch..........and tell them who's boss.

That cute little puppy on my signature, decided that "no" was not the answer he wanted to hear. He came at my face, bit me and left a cut and bruise over my eye. I raally love his spirit to a point, he crossed over the line.

I did the ole' "grab him by the neck, drop him on his back, look him in the eye, and not let go untill he stopped fighting", it ( took 4 minutes). Immedately after we played with a tug. He has been respectful ever since. He still has plenty of spirit, and now he has just a bit of respect to go along with it.

I hope my eye doesn't turn black and blue!

Do whatever it takes.

About 3 years ago, we recieved a "dumped" dog. He was half black lab, half pit bull. The dog way beautiful. He was also nuts. After a year of working with him, and thousands of dollars of professional training he bit my son in the face - un provoked. The next day he was put to sleep.

While your dog is still young enough, get through to him, so his fate will not be the same.

I am sorry you had to go through that but my situation is not the same. Its not that the pup ignores me but rather does not understand yet. If one of my dogs bit me out of anger then i would be biting back. I dont stand for that kind of behavior at any age. She is a good girl though and i dont see that being an issue with her. She is just a puppy who is loving life at the moment.

Good news, Hero has reformed!  He is now acting like a 14 week old puppy should. We will be doing lots of obediance in the very near future to insure that this he knows his place in our pack.
