well here in central texas it's in the mid 80's!  i hate it being so hot and humid yet we're in a severe drought; i think we're less than 1/2 the normal rainfall  our kids & dogs would sure love to see some of that snow:) not sure which is worse too cold or too hot <g> great picts now we can vicariously enjoy some cooler weather thanks for sharing!

I love it. LOL You Texans have it in the mid 80's in one place, and frozen in another. I rode my Harley through that monster of a place, called Texas, a couple of years ago. We had made a 9000 mile trip across the USA and back on my bike. You folks don't have a state, you have an entire country!! LOL

The folks we met there were great people, good patriots, honest as the day is long, and they were "say it like it is" kind of folks, so I guess that can help make up for the extremes.

We liked being there and look forward to going back. I am 60, but I am mean, so I believe I have one more long ride in me. ;>)

 YR

Good for you!!  My bride was the real hero, she rode every one of those miles on an 11" pad, while I leaned it over and played with the throttle..... we loved every mile.

Rain, hard rain, blistering heat, snow, ice, sand storms, hail in the desert, 80+ mile cross winds and floods... it sounds nuts to some, but it was a great and wonderful adventure. We had some bad weather, but we never had a bad day.

I have had a bike of one kind or another beginning in 72, but I got serious about long runs and bought my first new Harley in 2000 and the second in 2002. Our kids were already out of the nest and when they saw Mr Always Professional and Super Mom in leathers on a very loud Harley, it looked like they were going to have us arrested. LOL Of course now, they just hope I leave of them each a bike in our Will.    When you're on a bike, you really get to understand why a dog loves to have his face in the wind. I WILL figure out a way for my dog to go with me on my bikes, perhaps a sidecar or convert my bike trailer to carry a crate. Next vacation we plan to spend two weeks out on my boat and 2 on the Harley... Falco will be with us on both trips.... I hope. ; >)

I'm just across the WA/ID border from Vianden.  We are breaking snow records all over the place this year.  We are in a

deep freeze this weekend and are expecting 5-8 more inches of snow by Monday.  I'm betting I have around 3 feet now.

It's hard to tell with the trampled down stuff in the back with the dogs and the piled up snow in the front from shoveling.

Here are some pics from Christmas Eve.  About 16 inches ago!!

This bush is completely laid down now from the snow we've received since the 24th!
