When a sable pup has a solid black tail, has opposed to a ring on the tail what effect, if any effect is there in the end result.

You typically see the solid black tails on the "Tipped sables", which is a totally separate gene from the GSD sable (aka agouti/wolf grey). It's more what you see on Malinois. But I guess it's plausible for a agouti puppy to have lost the puppy fuzz on their tail early? But I've never seen it. Pictures are definitely needed :)

Tipped sables tend to get lighter as they age, versus the GSD agouti which will get darker.
