SitasMom, you are right about the points, I am still finding my way around. I think it is a trade off and what works for us. For me it was important that Chaos does it correctly. I am OK right now losing the point as long as the experience is very positive for him.
I don't know yet where we will go from here. Our situation is a bit unusual, as my 8 yo does 4-H dog obedience with Chaos, so she will compete UKC/AKC and agility with him, and I want to try Mondio. It has been frustrating to watch how in a matter of seconds my dd can obliterate literally weeks of training by rewarding Chaos for the wrong thing. At the same time they are having so much fun together and a great bond, I have to really think about it.

Great job Botanica!
You now understand what others meant when we said no one has ever died
from or during a BH!
And you have also just proved that the excuses that so many use about
not ever putting even a simple basic BH on a dog, is a lame and sorry one.
And you don't belong to a SchH club do you? See? It can indeed be done!
Look at that folks, a busy mother of at least 2 kids took her puppy to a BH
all on her own- no club-no excuses, she did it.
Once again, great job!

Congrats!! I also did my first BH Almost a month ago! It was amazingly fun to do it with a dog I have selected, raised and trained from 8 weeks of age. A BH is a highly attainable goal with hard work like workingdogz has posted, I agree to not do it, are just excuses. I have medical limitations and it took me a while to get there and I was so scared of my leg going out on me during the routine, but nothing happened and we did a good job. I am hooked and looking forward to IPO1! I have met so many awesome people in the journey. They have restored my faith in dog people and have been such wonderful support. I have found some clubs that have excellent members from this last show prep that I look forward to visiting them and these people became friends who cheered us on which helped so much. I look forward to cheering them on anytime I can give back in the future.
