Trump is from NYC which has incredibly strict gun laws. Does anyone believe he would like to see New Yorkers walking around with AR-15s slung over their shoulders? I seriously doubt he even cares about the Constitution at all. Look at who he wants as part of his team. You have Giuliani, who as mayor of NYC started the whole stop and frisk policy which would never have been allowed to happen in the first place if it didn't target minorities. Imagine if those who work on Wall Street were getting stopped and frisked. You think Giuliani wanted less strict gun laws? Then you have Chris Christie, the governor of NJ. NJ has very strict gun laws and draconian penalties for those who violate them. He is no friend of gun owners and is another authoritarian.

It's easy for Trump to pay lip service for the sake of gun owners because he knows that places like NYC will still do whatever they want.

But the pro-gun people who will vote for him are tripping over themselves because they have racist tendencies and some are just plain stupid. It doesn't matter that fascism and guns really don't mix.

Senate denies common sense and votes down both Dem and Rep gun related amendments. The following is a quote I liked, of remarks between the daughter of murdered Sandy Hook principal and Sen. Murphy:

"So here we are again"' she said. "I talked to Sen. Murphy just after he came off the floor and he said, 'The good thing about me and you is we're young. We'll be at this for a long time.'"

Murphy is 42 and she is 30.

Well, when you listen to Trump talk about what he would have done if he were president instead of Obama or what he will do when he becomes president a few things are clear: he doesn't seem to have a grasp for how our laws and Constitution work. He also doesn't seem to have much respect for them and talks as though he would prefer to circumvent our laws to get things done. He, as well as his followers, also don't have much understanding on what the president actually has the power to do. Build a wall? OK, as long as you get Congress to approve of the budget for it. Good luck with that. Speaking of the wall, how long would it take to come up with a design and a plan to build it? I don't think Trump would even live to see it started, let alone completed. The funny thing is, if he became president, he won't even go through with the wall plan regardless. But people will cling to their dreams.

I like the idea of an outsider in office but he is no different than any other candidate with his false promises that he will never follow through on. There will be no wall, no ban on Muslims, abortion will still be legal, if ISIS implodes there will be another group taking its place, and if you can't own an AR-15 where you live you still won't be able to. Oh yeah, and China isn't sending us any jobs back.

Interesting opinion and I would not be shocked if this happens. Trump is about Trump he doesn't care about people. He cares only about Trump and I cannot wait until his faithful racists figure it out.

That is just ridiculous. ^^^^ I hope you aren't taking that rape one serious. (Haven't read the other one.)He is a lot of things but that story sounds like pure BS. Also, It isn't as if Hillary isn't all about Hillary, either. The choices for prez are plain lousy, all around, still.

More on topic is the fact that the AR-15 assault weapons and similar are owned and numbered in the millions by Americans. Such top popularity is for this supposed defensive weapon, and never have I heard of when it has been used by a civilian to stop a mass murderer, or any murderer, come to think of it. Only the reverse, it is the preferred weapon of use by mass murderers.

I am sure that will be a key point to the SH families lawsuit against the manufacturer because of the negligent way it is marketed. Hunters simply do not hunt with an AR-15 if they plan to eat a kill.

And, The Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear the CCDL's challenge against CT's ban on military style assault rifles and large capacity ammunition magazines. That is good common sense. Some gun shops were crying that they were missing out on the latest model sales. As if last years killing machines have a shelf life! Couldn't muster a up any sympathy for that guy at all!

You are right he treats woman oh so well. One word here - Ivana.

by beetree on 22 June 2016 - 00:06

Ivana has recanted. And I just don't see the thirteen year old child attraction/fetish thing. He likes mature bombshell, polished types. Even though rape is about power, not sex, it doesn't fit, still, IMHO

Ivana recanted because Donald twisted her arm. And she really didn't recant, she just changed the words. I can see the Donald doing this, look at past ways he has treated woman. What about Epstien can you see him and all the other rich and powerful men doing this, I can. Been proven.
