This is the same girl on all pictures, 7 wees old.  Is she a long coat or a plush coat?

The only way to be 100% sure is to have a DNA cheek swab test done to see if he carries two recessives for the long coat gene.  If he carries only one, he can throw the long coat but cannot be one himself. At least two Labs do this by mail.  One is VetDNA center.  They send you a cheek swab kit for the dogs cheek cells from the inside of the cheek inside the mouth and you mail them back.  The cost is about $58.

Any updated pictures?  (not that I have any clue to answer your question; I just like puppy pictures)

I had a litter with 6 puppies with this coat type, I sold them as long coats. As yearlings, they all have longer hair, but not around their ears, in between their toes or on back of their legs.

Here's some examples..

Wow SitasMom.  You sure have some beautiful dogs.  We may have to talk in 5 - 7 years.
