Xeph, discoid or systemic lupus? I adopted a senior dog last fall who's got the discoid form...fingers crossed but so far, I've been able to avoid having to put him on prednisone.

Small mercies, but at least discoid can be managed more easily than the systemic. Wish I knew the background on my senior, but he was an owner surrender at a shelter and they didn't get much info beyond his date of birth and his very limited medical records....
