Hi there! I have some questions. But first this is what's going on with my Corgi, Atticus!

Warning, he's my first dog ever and I'm new to it all. Sorry in advance if I sound insane. Just want to make sure he's okay!

A few weeks ago he had Coccidia. I took him to my vet and she confirmed it. So I got medicine for the Coccidia and got it under control and killed. But yesterday (10/7/14) he started to refuse to eat, but kept trying to throw up and when he would it was just bile. So I took him in last night(10/7/14) to see what was going on and they said we might have not gotten all the Coccidia but we didn't get a stool sample for them so they had no way of checking. So I got more medicine for the Coccidia. But today (10/8/14) he still refused to eat, kept throwing up bile, and when I wasn't looking he had diarrhea in the house that was super mucousy and bloody, and right as I was cleaning it up and putting it in stool sample cup he threw up more bile, but this time it had blood in it. So I rushed him in today (10/8/14), and they checked his stool sample and said he now has Giardia. My vet now put him on Metronidazle, Tylan (powder form), liquid Panacur, and she also gave us a wet food to feed him.

Tonight(10/8/14) he ate dinner and I got all his medicines in him, but two hours later he had diarrea in the house, but it was straight liquid sort of diarrea. It had quite a bit of mucus and blood in it. How long will that last? It scares me to see it! I know he just got his first dose of all these medications tonight. But I'm still very nervous about it.

I was womdering if anyone has used this combo of medicines with their dogs?

No, you don't sound insane; prolonged diarrhea and vomiting are very worrying, no matter how many dogs you have owned.

I had the same problem this spring with one of my GSDs; nothing was working, it was a holiday weekend and I was going crazy, so I researched on the internet and found that an old fashioned cure for giardia/coccidia was to feed cottage cheese exclusively for 48-72 hours. I had cottage cheese in the house, thought I didn't have anything to lose, so I offered it to my dog. She gobbled it up, and she had previously been refusing everything else I offered to her. It worked like a charm, the diarrhea and vomiting stopped and she hasn't had a problem since. Now I just have a problem with her thinking that she is entitled to her share of cottage cheese everytime it is served!

You might want to talk to your vet about exclusively feeding cottage cheese until the diarrhea/vomiting are under control. My vet knew of the home remedy and did not have a problem with it, just mentioned to feed it in small quantities so lactose intolerance did not set in. I believe I fed 2/cup 3x a day, to a 55# dog, for 9 meals.

I hope Atticus starts feeling better soon; please keep us updated.

Edited to add: I just looked at the cottage cheese I buy and it is a reduced fat 2% cottage cheese, I don't know if that made a differance in the effectiveness of the remedy, but I thought I should mention it, just in case.
