Description
We would like to take a few minutes to introduce ourselves. Our names are Chris and Latasha Thedford. We have four children: Ansley, Jamie, Jack, and Journey. We live in Sweetwater, Tennessee.
We fell in love with the American Bulldog breed when we got our beloved Big Country Bocephus (Bo) and Miss Presley in 2013. Our bulldogs are part of our family and we love them as much as we love our children. Both of our American Bulldogs are NKC registered. You can usually find them lounging around the house chewing on their favorite toys or outside playing with ropes, balls, and wrestling.
Bo is a fawn colored Bully American Bulldog and is listed on the NKC USA's 2013 American Bulldog of the Year. He is from King Rocky Daugherty and Little Girl Bella. Rocky is a NKC champion and Little Girl Bella is a NKC and UKC duel champion. They both have won many best in breed competitions, as well as best male and female, and best bully and standard competitions.
Presley is a white colored Standard American Bulldog. She is from BR Bullhaven of Nobilis (Hammer) and Lola Bell Daugherty. Lola Bell is listed on the NKC USA's 2012 American Bulldog of the Year. Both Bullhaven of Nobilis and Lola Bell have won several championship and dual championship titles.
Both our dogs have a balanced temperment and are fantastic with children. They each have their own personalities. They love being part of our family and enjoy going for car rides, walks, and playing with other dogs. They are both happy, outgoing, confident dogs that get along well with children, adults, and other dogs. They are both extremely athletic in their own way and enjoy an active lifestyle.
Please remember that even though the American Bulldog is an amazing breed with a lot to offer, it is not for all families. They can be too much dog for some families because they are a dominate breed, can be stubborn, and do best with someone who has time to devote to them. They do best with an owner that has a very strong, calm personality. Please do your research before purchasing an American Bulldog puppy and also be careful in the breeder that you choose. You would want to make sure the puppies are well socialized and have a balanced temperment especially if you are going to have them around children. They are very loyal and loving dogs who bond intensely with their families and will protect them no matter what.
We would like to say a special thanks to Terry Daugherty (OCB Kennels) for these two wonderful bulldogs. He has been wonderful and patient with us during our learning process. We could not have asked for a better person to get our American Bulldogs from. He is a very knowledgeable breeder and has helped us more than he will ever realize.
