They don't always broadcast when they have an outbreak. What other reason would they close for ten days? One other reason a shelter closed around here was for renovation, and they gave animals away to any one who would take them to get them out.

I posted on their facebook page hopefully someone will answer... I asked about her availability, what adoptable Gold means and why the Humane Society is closed until the 25th, as people were thinking perhaps there is an outbreak of something due to thee clsoing of the Humane Society.

Ok, go to Gaston County Animal Control. Under pets for adoption, she is listed under Adoptable Gold, and is on page two, a little ways down the page. Her pic is very distorted but recognizable. At the bottom of the page there is a place to put an animal on hold.

Adoptable gold means the animal has been evaluated and deemed very adoptable.

volunteers answered- there is no problem at shelter. Sending hold page to the rescue

Did you go to animal control, or is the shelter not really closed?

No- I didnt go- I am in NY! volunteers answered on facebook page

OK- volunteers said they believe she has a lot of holds. I will check tomorrow in case she isnt picked up- in the unliklihood of that happening, could anyone get her tomorrow if need be, at the last minute??

according to the page, she has 2 weeks past her *must be out by* date because she is Gold adoptable. From what I can see on her page, which I found on their facebook site, she looks like she is pretty well spoken for :)
