Alpha, didn't you say people pay you?

Alpha, to add, I agree that it is rediculous. I train with several groups and none charge more than what is needed to cover costs.

chaz -- i don't recall if a said people paid me ... to be honest , and i will .. i owned and operated a canine training school for years .. i also did canine evaluation and tempermant testing / no charge .. for my school classes , 3 hour sessions over 8 weeks !! [ at times i instructed the people without the dogs first , the total cost   for all that , was $50.00 - and that included to cover cost of a leash /collar i gave them , premise cost,  for  heat , electric ,insurance ,  snow plowing .. believe me , there was no financial gain &  most likely it cost me money as i only took 5 people /class , no more /class  as a policy  .. i could handle 10 or more people if i choosed to .  but that is not how i desired  to teach people ..they got a lot of info and 1:1 attention .. in training  for sports my  helper/ decoy /instruction in all phases , i never took one penny , not one penny from anyone . . all the  supplies ,  sleeves , tugs , long lines , bungee ties , agility set ups  etc. etc ,  i bought  and supplied !!  ... i had puppy classes , i trianed many  many a puppy /new owner , again .. never charged a cent for more than an hour of guidance for weeks on end ... !! now i am not writing this for approval or a pat on the back .. i just am trying to open up the USA to be more like europe .. dog friendly !! .. i had a SV  judge visit me from Germany - i  walked right into the airport [ after 911] to the arrival - the officers saw my dogs - i actually got encouraged to be there !! i have taken my dogs into ice cream parlors ..  now ,  on the PDB -- i give input , share knowledge , give examples and stories [ people don't have to agree , that 's ok , it's an opinion ] . takes up a lot of my time .. i get no monetary reward . my reward is sharing in the dog world and for the love of people /dogs . i have no advertisement nor do i promote any dog  or products for gain . i also get a lot of PMs here , which again i am happy to converse with people .. I just think outlandish cost for prople to learn how to live / do sport with their dogs goes sometimes beyond expoiltation ! now some of my friends , this is thier businesss , but stil they don't soak people either , they are fair in what they charge ... but $50 and i even heard of $75 a sessionfor a pastime'sport  , well , IMO to the average prson , and many out of work .. that is a lot, a hell of a lot of money  , IMO. ---this is my purpose... to see americans interact with their dogs to be allowed , not off limits in public . i do protection  in traffic , in front of police , in grocery shoping lots , i'm accepted .. why can't that be for everyone .. you Sch people hide in a fields  like you are doing something unacceptable / bad .. or you have a military secret and then charge through the nose to join a club and a session ............ goodness , you can't even take your dog to a beach or a park anymore . why .. because of the owners...  //    and sports .... we make it so hard and unaffordable for people to go/partake   of  becaue of money .. goodness . when i visited Germany there was at least one club or more in every town .. what happened here in the USA ?? this is why i am so bold in my post. instead of having canine commradeship , you're  not in unless you got the money ,.. goodness , worst than trying to be in an elite country club . SHAME !! and we wonder why there are so many dog bites [ oh heavens don't get me started any more ] !! and chaz .  i am happy there are sme folk in the dog world like you too ! like to meet up with your group some day - sounds like a wonderful crew !!  now you all can blast me for saying what most people really think and feel .. Well, I don't disagree with you. Wish it was like Germany. If we had a club in every town, it would make it hard for these people to charge a dime. I think many take advantage of this. Lack of helpers and clubs leave some without choices and they have to pay these people or quit the sport. With gas prices, I couldn't even think of driving an hour each way to pay $50-75. Once/wk = $5,200/year. And that's not including misc items like treats, toys, equipment, etc.

i was willing to drive 2 hours each way 1000 dollars for unlimited lessons which lasted 40 minutes each after the first one however  i realized i could never go back to that assh$le

I found a ring sport club that might be willing to cross train me in pp if so id be willing to pay them extra for putting in effort to go that extra mile to accomidate my personal training goals i will be driving 2 hours each way to see them also 1  time each week.

i will have to cross the border from canada into new york state also each time i go

anyone else cross borders with your dog travel or train pvt me
