Does anyone here have experience with John Olsick from Strongstown, PA? John Olsick is interested in purchasing an adult German Shepherd dog from me and we were running in some minor complications.

He wanted to use the Paypal account from his friend Mary Lou Custer to do the payment for the dog. Since the Paypal account was in a different name and her email address didn't have a verified shipping address, it wasn't eligible for the Seller protection program, I decided to refund her the money immediately.

Now I was planing on sending a Paypal invoice to John Olsick to deal with him more directly. The from him provided email address k9viper@aol.com shows on Google that this is a ripp off/ spam email address in the name of Dave Miller. Another website shows the same email address under the name David Miller. But I never found it under John Olsick?

Someone else posted 3 years ago on pedigreedatabase, if someone has experience with John Olsick from Royalty K9, a kennel in PA.
John Olsick never mentioned to me that he is also a breeder or that he works close with a kennel, he seamed more like someone buying a dog online for the first time.

I also asked him to provide me his address what he never did.

Then he is not the one picking the dog up from the Pittsburgh airport. He only wants to send his friend Dale Tonilo?

Since nothing ads up in my eyes, I am getting worried about purchasing an expense flight, me shipping out the dog and then the money disappears again from my Paypal account?

Has someone an advice regarding him? Did someone have a good experience with him? Is he trustworthy?

I think he is a dog trader and has no intention of treating your dog as you would want want him treated. I was winding down my kennel when I posted about him two years earlier and was desperate to find homes but the feedback I got was not encouraging for Olsick. I gave some to good homes rather than sell them to dog traders like Olsick.

Traders and brokers of dogs buy and sell dogs like firewood. Once they drive away with the dog you have few good options to get payment or return. Dogs are livestock in the eyes of the law. Brokers and dog traders that have these convoluted plans that involve multiple people handling the dog and strange payment methods are crooked. This is all a way to distance themselves from the deal and claim no liability or worse a straight out con job. Very often they have a friend picking up the dog and they will give you a worthless third party check or payment. Once your dog is in their dirty hands you have a ton of hurdles if you are conned. I learned all of these cons in the cattle business ... the saying was that once a purchased animal was on the the thiefs land and mixed with his cattle your chance of getting payment or return was nil.

Hi Bubbabooboo,

Thank you very much for your replays! It was very helpful for me and I won't go through with the sale. My dogs are like my babies and it's so important to me they are in good hands.

I appreciate your honesty!

Personally, if I had any doubts about tbe purchaser such as you have multiple ones, then I would not sell them anything, much less a living being.
