sportstuff, Where can I find the "Pick of Litter" article that you referred to? It's been a while since your post and it doesn't seem to be in the New Articles section. I'm totally new to this site, so forgive me if it's just some user mistake I'm making. Thanks for your help. I am VERY interested in this article.

Randy Tyson/David Witmer in Northern California are great breeders with experience, integrity and sound knowledge of the breed, in my opinion. Ajay singh has a small breeding program (2 litters per year) but produces excellent working dogs.He has worked as a helper, titled his own dogs and helps others with obedience training. His knowledge on canine behavior and history of the various lines of GSD has no parallel.

The following is a quote from "The Total German Shepherd Dog", by Fred Lanting 1999. Pg 34. Under the section: "Later American and Canada Breeders- A Short List of Major Influences", he writes: "Tyson-Witmer -- This Northern California working-dog kennel has imported and bred many fine animals for police departments, Schutzhund sports enthusiasts, and personal protection. While they concentrate on the utilitarian aspects of the breed, they have entered dogs in the show ring, such as at several USA Seiger Shows since the first one in 1990 where Randy Tyson-Witmer was the principal organizer. She imported Vize-bundessieger (2nd place in the German Schutzhund championship trial) Cliff v. Huhnegrab as well as USA Sieger Illo Bergmannshof. Cliff has a good record in producing normal hips as well as good-looking, very good-working dogs."

Hey Sportstuff - I have purchased 2 GSD from Jane Steffenhagen at www.steff-haus.com and I have been more than happy with both (the best) - very good at tracking, personal protection, and which is not a big deal to you all that are in SCH. - but both were CGC and Therapy dogs- but most of all with Jane and manager Linda. They provide you with so much direction and are available for you day and night on any questions. My first GSD was a YET/CASH litter and second is DEXTRA/SABER litter -However, Jane is now retired and us faithful Steffen-haus dog owners are devestated. Good luck on your search of best kennel.

I just purchased a puppy from EurosportK-9. This breeder places high emphaqsis on early socialization. While still on the biches, the pups are exposed to noise, traffic, slick surfaces, uneven footings, cats, etc. They have a highly developed puppy program. My pup will be trained for Urban Search and Rescue, a Disaster dog. Kaylee zet. Eurosport arrived 3 weeks ago and has show confidence, socialization and a great attitude. Even the sounding of an airhorn from a fire truck did not bother her. The purchase, shipping and daily emails were excellent! Communication was and still is on going! I can not recommend them enough SAR K-9

RENZ: I'm curous to know (if you bought puppies - did you get a hip guarantee. I talked to Jane S. 20 some years ago and decided not to pursue our conversations to the point of purchase. To each - his own.

I own a dog from Eurosportk9, he's incredible. By far the most social outgoing GSD I've owned. Confident, clear headed and well adjusted. Great drives, flashy OB and a genetic full mouth grip. Excellent with kids, cats and other dogs. Quiet in the house and crate. Formerly a police k9 until he became unemployed due to loss of funding for the departments' k9 unit. He came to me from the department without his Slovakian export pedigree and Mr. and Mrs. Mravik were very helpful in obtaining another one so I could have him transferred to AKC. They show interest in his progress towards titles and have been very pleasant to deal with. As I am a novice in SchH, he makes it exciting to learn the sport with a good dog that knows what he is doing. I wouldn't hesatate to get another dog from Eurosport K-9 Here's his sold page from Eurosportk9 http://www.eurosportk9.com/solddogs/a/andy1/main.asp Here's some recent photo's http://www.beckerfoto.photosite.com/Andy4/ Take Care, Melanie Becker

I own a dog from Van Den Heuvel K-9 and would recommend them to anybody. There are four people in my PSA club that have dogs from them and one is our Training Director. And another woman owns a Van Den Heuvel dog at my Schutzhund club. Dari is great to work with and takes her time with each client to get to know them and find out their needs in a dog. Dari also imported Andy Naspo for a friend of mine and the dog is just awesome. GSDfan, I see your dog is a son of a Norbo Ben Ju sister. I own a Norbo Ben Ju daughter she just turned 13 months old.

A6 AUsland does not mean bad hips. It simply means that the hips were done in a country other than Germany.
