The above is a very decent mantra.

Lets face it -if you make a mistake, and we all do - show some humility, say sorry, shake hands, move on.

Problem is, a tiny minority refuse to do that, and take some kind off perverse pleasure in being shitty - across the board. That really is not good enough, whether it is on the Ethernet or on the street.

THAT'S truth, harsh as it sounds.  That´s my personal "opinion", but if I had the power to do it, I'd MAKE it a rule.

This is a good place, overall, with good people, for the most part, as evidenced by the multiple times members from around the world have extended themselves to help out a fellow member, whether it was just to make an introduction to an ethical breeder or with something much more serious, and for all of his bluntness and his penchant for stirring the pot when things got too quiet, vk4gsd was right in there offering to help in such circumstances, too. Reggie, you pretty much pegged vk4gsd dead-on--if there was a fantasy league for arguing, he would be a top draft pick.  But if he dared the admins to ban him from this site and then gave them the reason to do so, that was his decision...and as much as it makes me sad to check back in here briefly and find he's gone, this isn't my site to make decisions for, and life will go on, regardless. Not all tales are meant to be novels; sometimes the best ones are the short stories.

Anyway, that's my two cents' worth...back to concentrating on keeping my balance on a double-life tightrope I've got going for the time being. No worries, just requires my full attention for a while. Hope everyone else is doing well.

i do not feel challenged at all. But I asked you some questions and when you take the time to answer, I will return the favor.

if you can't be civil say nothing at all. It isn't about opinions it is about being respectful, civil and having feelings. What I have witnessed here in the past and unfortantely in the present some real shitty performances by some members,  have I been perfect in the past, no. But I changed and so can anyone else. 

Funny Haz I get more feedback from those who say they won't post here because of the fighting, the rudeness and lack of civility, than I do from those seeking drama or those seeking to start drama. If you are looking for drama, I have heard Daytime Soaps are a real good source. I have also heard reddit is a great place for the drama searching souls to get their fix.

These are probably the same flowers that quit dog sport because everyone was mean to them...not because they and their dogs were no good..haha.  Probably best if they didnt post anyways..

I think you are wrong. Here is what happens instead - the good posters (who aren't all about the drama) leave because they get tired of the non-sense and so the moderators crack down on the drama addicts and surprise there isn't anyone left. Go figure. I have been doing this gig for 5 years now and that is exactly what has happened. How can the serious dog people feel about a bunch of drama queens when they seriously want to talk about dogs in a civil respectful manner. Why do you think the real pros won't post here, because they are tired of listening to the wannabe drama queens stirring shit up.

When I look back on any threads that blew up on all the forums I have been a member of, the Pros as you call them were more likley to post on those threads not someones random cute puppy thread.

Think hard Haz how many pros post here beyond a couple. Not many want to know why - because of people like VK and the numerous iterations over the years. If this place turns into a place for pet people to talk about their dog Buddy and it is civil and respectful, I can accept that. And I am thinking a lot of breeders can accept that because the site will be ripe for the selling of dogs to those boring pet people. Like I said earlier you want drama and fighting flip on the TV and watch As the World Turns so do The Days of Our Lives. We will move on. Oh and one more thing why is it that those who cause drama and stress for others don't seem to be able to take the same from the admin and run off like weak dogs?

Actually most of those people post plenty (those that are inclined too).  You just gotta know where to find their stuff.

Your welcome to believe what you like but the evidence speaks for itself.  Look back at Jeff O for instance and his threads, plenty of names on there..lol.

People that are here for the discourse are more likely to post and look at classifieds so that argument makes no sense.

Ironically the people that always seem the most butt hurt over contraversial posters are the ones that do nothing and know nothing but try to portray themselves as doing something.

Even VK for being a newbie actually had his dog out testing and training.  Doing a better job with a better dog then most of the regulars on here.

What really is happening here is you have a small group who have the same values and similar thoughts as VK and all of you are lining up to support VK. Because I guarantee if this was Blitzen (sorry Blitzen) who was banned under the same circumstance how many of you would be on this thread showing your true colors? VK had chance after chance after chance after chance, how many chances should a person get? When they are told point blank to stop and they thumb their nose and flip off admin numerous times I suppose we should just look  the other way because that is just VK, poor misunderstood VK. The really funny part is I don't see many of you laying the blame on the shoulders of the person responsible for their own actions. Do you guys always blame others for the actions of one person? He made a choice each and every time and we must all pay for our actions when those actions go against norms.

All you guys have succeed in doing is making ME dig in. I know the other admin are going to jump for joy by reading this last paragraph. I am sure at least mrdarcy will be on here in a few hours thanking everyone of you. Admin you are of course 100% correct on your views regarding lifting of bans and I am sorry to ever doubt you guys. For my actions I want to give everyone of you a heart felt, I am sorry.

Lol I told VK he was an idiot on a couple of occasions for stupid or incorrect things he said. Doesn't mean I can't recognize what he did do.

Jeff was an idiot too at times but he instigated some very thought provoking discussions that had some pretty big names chiming in.


I will politely and have politely debated those that have some knowledge gained via experience to back up their assertions. Have learned and still learn from those people too.

Then you politely in your professional opinion tell them that and why YOU feel that way. Then you have done all you could do. I personally liked VK, him and I agreed on a lot of things. But the style to deliver his messages was offensive to many people.

The reasons these threads go on is because you folks want it that way. As if you feel the pressure on us is somehow going to change our minds. On my end it is MY message but notice I don't need to belittle, call names or be out there. And I can 100% guarantee that if I wasn't an admin names would already have been tossed out there, belittling has already taken place in oh so many subtle ways. When someone questions an admin decision at other forums WHAT HAPPENS? You act like we did this irrationally, VK was asked numerous times to chill. I was in VKs corner 100% but there comes a time when to much is to much. You ask VK if I was in his corner. Me and him whether he knows it or not agree on a lot of things but I will never agree on his approach.

I absolutely am not trying to keep this thread going but this fits in here and Kim gave me permission to post it.

This right here is a real man, a brave man, a respectful and a compassionate man. I would also like to publically apologize to Kim, Kim I am sorry and you know my feelings about all that transpired.

Folks now lets let this go - will VK get another chance? Probably down the line - I will never say never but I am not saying it will happen either.
