surprised staatshmacht have not got a mention, they are on top of my list for US breeders i would import from. is my research no good??

by hexe on 12 November 2013 - 18:11

vk4gsds, possibly overlooked because the kennel established itself initially in Germany, and is a US operation only since 2011.  Certainly cannot dispute that the program is based on a strong maternal line that they developed, and which remains the basis of their breeding.

splitting hairs somewhat, 2011 seems a long time by US standards, ie old kennel, i say this in reference to the constant stream of imports from europe injected into people's lines including females imported in pup. seems many kennels are not in existence long enough to legitimately claim their own line of dogs, more like a series of kennel names marketing various breeding combinations of what's hot. personally i would think it difficult at best to establish your own line in one human working  lifetime.

again just based on my own newby research which is prolly shitte, none the less staats. is getting a rather deep file in my office and my other files seem to get to a certain depth and stop growing, get pushed further back and collect dust.

i have written to some breeders i was following and asked WTF, why you did that combination, of course some thought i was a random psycho and never replied and some actually took the time to explain that at the end of the day the majority market wants a certain type of dog so regardless of their initial philosophy they supply that demand which more times than not is not the dog i want. each to his own.

Staatsmacht is most definitely a well-established line, I just suspect that people may still think them as a German kennel as opposed to a US kennel.

Hexe, is the Staatsmacht kennel name being used both still in Germany or only here now in USA ?, their foundation bitch seems to be a female named Orla born in 1998 and their current breeding stock seems to have her on least one side sometimes both sides, she must have been a female highly reguarded on what she could produce.I do like some of the older  known producers out of Germany that their breeding stock carries from years past and I like their solid black current female named Dora she doesnt look oversized which is good gauging from the picture posted in database and she seems to carry heavy from their foundation bitch Orla. If you have more details or insights please let us know.

i also put eurosport on my shortlist but i think they got divorced and all went south???

as far as established lines then alpine is surely the most consistent, i am only starting to learn about these lines which seem largely  ignored by sport crowd.

I have a Staatsmacht bitch....not a schutzhund dog.....very little prey drive. Excellent food drive...tracks very well. She is social....protective and defensive. No environmental or health issues. I've seen a number of dogs from this Kennel.

this is my new pup:http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2058318-mario-van-arnes-hoeve
he is linebred on franka/orla/connie.  that is exactly the reason i bought him.  i cannot say enough good about him. even before
i got him, i had been recommending staatsmacht & stefan to folks who asked.  granted, my pup is not from his kennel, but he
is a linebreeding on stefan's dam line.  mario's sire is owned by bert aerts & the dam is owned by patrick vandewaetere.  they
are doing another linebreed this coming year, but with yaspo & joy.  that should be excellent.

Taya vom Weinbergblick is from my Kennel, which is Zwinger vom Vogelbergblick. I work together with the ownwer of the vom Reeboch kennel, but Taya's offspring is from my kennel "vom Vogelbergblick". Thank you.

Bundishep, Staatsmacht Kennel is here in the US now.  In Minnesota.  I own Dario (Dora’s littermate) and he is a very nice solid, stable, strong dog.  My boy is not oversized but within the midsize of the SV standard size.  He is doing very well being dual trained in Schutzhund and scent detection.

I do love this Orla/Franka/Ultra line.  I see and train with dogs on a regular basis from this kennel and line and have been very impressed with the training and dogs.  I would definitely consider this one of the top current female working lines/producers in the states.
