Another thread high jacked by G.S.Lover, Tony Becca and the Mutt named Duke, You really are not funny, i can tell you are a bunch of Gutless dropouts in real life without a pin head of brain between the three of you,
Hidden behind silly words is your limit I dread to think how you live in the real world,  really not much good to society or even your own miserable existence's, it is about time you three and the Muskateers were taken off this forum a great pity we do not have a moderator in your cases keep any thoughts on the above to yourselves because you brain less lot will not get a reply no matter what you may think or say, if i were not a gentleman i would use the correct terms of describing you

Tony Becca
I did not intend replying but you have your wires crossed
However i think you talking about the money you are owed is nothing to do with this thread at all, If you want your money back then personally take the dog back to the breeder and get your money face him face to face anf GET IT off him,  stop bloody whining on a thread that has nothing to do with it.
Thats what i would do, and i would not have even put it on the forum so only me would have known, it would never be bought up here because no one can get it back only the person like yourself who is involved in it
The way you bought the Dog i would never do it but we are different so you cannot be knocked for what you did
Hope you get your money but face the Guy it is the only way to ever accheive anything

Scenic:  I have working dogs.  I look at the sire and dam to determine trainability.  I am much more interested in the bitch, as IMO, they influence the pups by 70%.  I want a very strong bitch, who is biddable, tough, smart, and a proven producer.  I  want to produce from dogs who are fast, fast, fast.  Speed is extremely genetic.  You can work your butt off trying to make a dog faster on recalls, retrieves, send out, blind search, and long bite.  You will wear yourself out.  They just have to be naturally smokin' fast!!  LOL  My bitches have never walked anywhere in their lives.  My younger bitch, Draze, blasts me in the front on the recall.  I let her.  I will not give up speed.  I will, however, clean up the front the week before a trial.  When you have fast dogs, you can't keep them "trial ready" all the time.  You have to "peak" them at the right time.  A bored dog is a slow dog.

I also like to line breed on strong bitches.  Haska Kathago is a super bitch, dam of Asko von der Lutter, among others.  Now that is a bitch to line breed on.

If you ever run into Bruce Brisson, he is a guru with pedigree.  You will learn lots of lingo, if you don't already know it. He is a master of the "Old Working" blood. I have learned a ton from Bruce thru DDR list. If you study Alfred Hahn's (vom Busecker Schloss) breeding strategies, you will see his tendency to place hugh emphasis on Bruce Lowe's(famous pedigree analyst for horses 1845-1894)  theory that the Tail-Female bloodlines played a very large part in his resulting progeny. Greif zum Lahntal's pedigree is very interesting to study when learning the Lowe theories.

So, you question is, how do you choose a working puppy? I pick a puppy out of excellent, tough, stable dogs , who will bite for real.  I don't want a puppy from a bitch who produced one great puppy in a litter.  I want a puppy from a super bitch who produces a high percentage of super puppies.  There are those phenomenal bitches who produce litter after litter of all great puppies.  Then you pick the sex and the color.  Otherwise, if you are looking for the needle in the haystack, so to speak, you can't be concerned about the sex or color, just that one standout puppy.  Then pray to God, you picked the right one. A really good breeder will have a track record of placing the right puppy with the right handler.  If this happens you will see the results in the titled progeny.

Jen
For me i like to see both Parents of the Pup i am having , But i guess that is not so easy in a place the size of the USA so trust has much to do with it
Personally I am a great believer in the Dam of the Pup and i thing and i have said many times before the quality of the Mother is so very important in any species, taking my Pup Izzy Her mother is a beautiful dog with a great temperament cool at home and a loving female but on the work field she is ScHh 3 she is a different animal a real firecracker of a dog
The Daddy of Izzy is probably the best working Schutzund Dog in Belgium at this present time, so the Pedigree is right the parents credentials are top class only time will find out if the Pup is the same grade as its parents
But now we come to what i think is the make or break of a Pup,
Will i be good enough for the Pup in my way of handling her and training her this to me is the most important thing US HUMANS do we have the right credentials to do the Pup justice i hope you know what i am getting at
My way with a new Pup is this i hand feed for at least two Weeks of bringing it home, to me that part is important and i have done this for over 50 years with all my Pups,
Next only i feed it, unless i am away from home ot sick that is the only times i do not
Next No one else takes the Pup out for a walk no one trains the Pup but me, My brother gives a a fuss in her pen but nothing else,
She must bond with me and i to her that is the first most important part for me, and it has to be done from the beginning
Thats my take on how i see it and what i basically do, it works for me well up to now it has I think Izzy knows herself already even though she is only 12 weeks old or so

I do not believe in Lowe genetic theory. The genetic influence is 50:50  Male : female. Higher Mother's influence is caused by environmental causes. Thus it seems that the mother is more important. It may work out that way for reason above  but that is not genetic influence.
If someone wants to check basic genetic theories 101 then check this website:
