I have heard a rumour that this dog has been sold! Can anyone confirm!

by Vikram on 10 November 2008 - 11:11

shouldn;t be surprising. Happens all the time. Time for the original owner to reap the harvest he has crated over the years

:)

Cheers

I highly doubt that. I talked to Micha last week and she told me that they have a winter break now and she is planning to show "Jackl" again next year. Further do they actually really like their dogs and they are part of the family including their own spot on the couch !!!

I did not think she would sell him, but if anyone can let us know for certain it would be great!

After watching this dog and handler, I wouldn't bet on her selling him! I am getting a Jimbeam pup in a few days!

To repeat what Claudia said, I highly doubt it. They are not doing this for money, so selling a dog, especially an adult dog that they have such a strong bond with is not their way.

Nandini

Nandini,

I totally diagree. WHat do you think a top competitor an breeder is there in this game for? Its not just plainly hobby. At the end money plays a part definitely.

cheers

I'm breeding a female to him in next week or so.

Vikram,

I do not know where you are from, what is important in YOUR life and where you have YOUR priorities, but believe me there are people out there that love their dogs, do the sport as a hobby and care for the breed. And some of them are actually also VERY successful in what they are doing.

I feel bad for you if you truly believe that everything is for sale, that it just depends on the price. People like you would probably also sell their grandmother if the price is right.

I am not saying that Horst and Micha would never sell a dog, but like Nandini said, I highly doubt that they would sell Javir because their relationship to that dog has a much higher value than money can buy. If they would ever decide to split from him then definitly not because of a price offer, then there would be other reasons than money for such a decision.

And if you still disagree and doubt that there are people with that caliber out there try to make an offer for my female Yara von den Wannaer Hoehen (2.nd at the USA Nationals 2006, SchH3, IPO3, Kkl.1, ZB: sg) and you will find out that she is NOT FOR SALE !!!!! If she is not interesting enough for you then try Nandinis female "Jwala von Patiala" a very, very nice Hektor von Talka Marda daughter ........... I doubt that you could buy her !!! OR ask Dana Polumbo if Nando is for sale,  another one that you could not buy !!!

I am glad to know that there are poeple like Horst and Micha out there. I think I would not be able to stand the thought that everybody is just out for the money and that this is the reason why they are involved in the sport dogs.

I agree Claudia!!

I have had two serious inquiries on my boy L'Jager vom Patiala for more than 5 times what I paid for him (which was a handsome dollar already-AND I lost my job last year and have not come close to replacing my income) and he is NOT for sale!  PERIOD!  Both people knew that I was very busy trying to finish my MBA and he was not being trained, they felt he NEEDED a working home.  Well he is just now 2, and I have just finished my MBA and once I return from Australia (my graduation present to myself) in three weeks, he will be back on the training field!!

Some people have amazing bonds with their dogs!
