Hello. I'm going to sell my dog to Germany and I was wondering what paper do SV need to give him a German Pedigree? Does anyone know??

Hi Assie, I am in correspondence with the SV regarding that matter right now. I sold two puppies to someone in Germany. For some reason, the SV keeps insisting that they will not issue new papers, since the AKC papers are recognized in Germany. Yesterday, I received a new mail that I have to have USA papers. But that was from a different person who normally is not responsible for foreign registrations. So, I am still trying to work it out. But in the past years, when I sent my dogs to Germany for titles they needed the AKC Certificate and the AKC Certified Pedigree. The USA papers were completely ignored. They do, however, come in handy when you want to show in events. Less confusion on the judge's and the club's side. My guess is that the new owner needs the AKC papers in his name. If I get a different answer, I will let you know. Sincerely, Chris

it will never get a german SV pedigree. The original pedigree with which it was born will stay with the dog. The new german owner can make the registration by SV and for this he/she need -when the parents are not DNA-tested by SV - 5 ml EDT-blood and a certificate copy from the pedigree of the parents. These blood and the copy must be send to the DNA-Labor.
