I'm not looking for show dogs or anything. Once theyre friendly and healthy.

Have you considered a Great Dane? Or a St. Bernard? Or a big, friendly, laid-back mixed breed from the shelter?
by KellyJ on 11 January 2011 - 04:01
It jeopardizes the breed! Is that important enough. They are breeding for dogs that are out of the standard.
You are looking for a big hairly freindly dog:
Try a great pyrenees...
Dont like white? Maybe a Newfoundland:
Or maybe brown... A Saint Bernard?

" I dont really care much that her dogs arent within the standard., so long as that doesnt jeopradise its health."
Just fair hips and elbows on the parents? Might be wrong....but a slight smell of a better than average troll in here.

hello. I am new to this board also. I own a long coat female GSD. She is one of the best shepherds in terms of loalty and intelligence that I have ever owned. I did not get her from Ayers, however I would not hesitate to do so. Nova(her name) is half king Shepherd [ from her father] Even though she is larger than the standard calls for I have no intention of breeding her. She is my companion and friend. She has her CGC and loves children. If you like the long coats then I say go for it and buy one.
