Ok here's my 2 cents on this whole genetic "answer". Traits are passed down from generation to generation that is a fact, if it wasn't fact the working dog breeders wouldn't be so dedicated in making sure each generation proves itself with training and titles. But remember the SV and other Euro registries require, and the respected US working dog breeders follow the same standard where EACH generation of breeding dogs are trained and titled.

Why is that? because there are SO many elements in which make a good working dog a good working dog that are not always passed down to offspring...ie. prey/defense drive, possessiveness, harness, toy drive, environmental stability, social traits, dominance, confidence, fight drive, trainability, biddability, food drive, self preservation...etc etc etc

These traits don't just all pass down together in a package even if those dogs are line bred on... and other dogs are introduced into the mix with their own combination of these traits, parents don't clone themselves, their offspring are not an exact copy or exact combination of the parents...I wish that was how it worked. And dogs linbred on sometimes their negative or unfavorable traits are magnified instead of their desired ones. So 11 generations later if you have strong aggression BUT are lacking even ONE other element like nerve...the dog is no longer a respectable working specimen (and shouldn't be bred). And the blame or focus should not all be placed on the famous dog who "possibly" influenced something strong but the other influences where something was like nerve/confidence or harness was LOST.

BUT since the dog in question has parents and some grandparents who are not titled (and the reputation of the breeder who bred them is unknown) the question is did these lacking elements show up prior to your dog.

I see this "missing trait" sometimes with malinois....some end up with tons of energy and play drive but no nerve for bitework or lack environmental soundness for detection or other work. They often get tossed around from home to home and end up on rescues because they are difficult to live with too much drive for a pet home but not good enough to work. Or even worse lots of aggression and no confidence.

IMO it is very possible your dog had certain traits which required more socializing (than the average pup) or more environmental training to mature correctly and BALANCED, and perhaps instead of socializing your pup you did something like praise her when she growled at people...further unbalancing your dog.

Even if you are right and Ex and Lord does have some mild influence on your dogs nature and behavior it is only one small piece of the puzzle which you are completely inflating to fit your agenda...and ignoring all else including your responsibility. JMO

AND if your breeder was aware of this "special" temperament I find it incredibly irresponsible he did not instruct you better on how to raise her.

This isn't going to be a popular sentiment, but...

if I were in Mithuna's place, there is no way in hell I'd post a public video of this dog doing anything more physical with a human being than displaying obvious signs of affection. Much as I would also like to see her doing something other than lying down, I'd hate for something posted here to turn out to be used as an indictment against her should there be an incident of some sort... I understand that this ship is probably already leaving the pier just from the various threads where she's been the topic of discussion alone, but those could all very well be nothing more than Trumpery, when you get right down to it.

Besides, what's a couple minutes of video going to prove to anyone, anyway?

Mithuna, let's just see a video of her playing with the family, so we can just get a better look at her overall for the first time, how 'bout it?

I'm sure she shows signs of affection when she beats Mrs Mith onto the bed, Hexe, at this stage I don't expect anything else. But I do want to try to read her body language. For my 'book', you understand...
