"Republican lawmakers Rep. Jose Diaz of Miami and Scott Plakon of Longwood, on Thursday filed the measure dubbed "Caylee's Law" that makes it a felony for parents or caregivers who fail to verify the whereabouts and safety of a child up to 12 years of age within 48 hours. The law also requires that a child's death be reported within two hours.

Any way, do you think Casey's defense could have used a different scapegoat than George if her life was not on the line? They could only have used him, to make her story fit what already happened, is the way I see it.

As far as the defense, unfortunetly they get paid to do a job. That is to create doubt. Evidently nothing is off-limits in their pursuit of winning. It's not a perfect world. I'll bet this goes on more than you would think, it's just that this event had so much coverage most people are aware of the problems that accompanied this trial.
Travesty of justice IMO. Total shame. What a beautiful innocent looking child, gone.
