Hmmmmmmm... my post disappeared :-(
The individual is deciding whether having CO or participating in sport is more important... or, since there doesn't seem to be a rule against OC participation in the U.S., if an amenable club/decoy can be found, if a slower sport performance by CO is acceptable. Based on what I learned in the videos, I suggested maybe looking into herding instead, but then there's the issue of sheep availability.
