ML, this is why you couldn't find the 'Hoofish'...untimely but certain fate:

On brighter note, here are our wild 'Rooster of the Woods' volunteer mushrooms growing next to the kennel....

Full grown, past eddible and releasing spores. This was so pretty at it's peak, i didnt want to cut spoons off. Let it mature and reproduce. It's about 12 or 16 inches long and wide. The next pics will be new ones, not developed enough yet to harvest. Best tasting mushrooms i've had.

This one ^^^ will be ready to harvest in a couple days.

Another one, will be ready in about a week.

These are growing on an old hickory tree stump. Look at upper right and you can see a new 'shroom just breaking through...

Two more with the ones on the tree stump just beyond.

These two are at the crest of the bank...drops off to ground cover of wild cuke vines.
