Dam BM you deleted your rant, why you deleted?
How is this not guarding, zero training. No knpv dog or handler gonna take this bunny.
Knpv is a trained routine like any other sport.

VK a dog guarding a prey has nothing to do with preydrive
@ BM trained behaviour to trigger a certain behaviour when on the box, and dont understand why he should or shoulnot have a GSD mixed in, throw that dog on a fenced property and see if he really guards, guess yes but that guarding comes from a different motivation

"You want to bite? You have to stay at a special item ( box, bag, bicycle ), and only in case the decoy tries to grab this item you are allowed to bite".
This behavior has nothing to do with "guarding" - may look like guarding, but in reality it´s regular bitework with a lot of obedience involved.

Interestingly : different dogs = different goals. 2 of my dogs weren´t "territorial" in case of property that much, but very "territorial" in case of my person / my son.
May be the result of personal selection - whenever I picked a puppy out of a litter I wasn´t interested in the "outgoing, willing to make friends" puppies, but in the ones that weren´t interested in anybody besides the breeder, or even were aloof ( but not afraid ) of strangers.
Not the most social dogs, not suitable for "modern lifestyle", but I like them.
