The handlers often have their own leashes and these are usually leather. There should be show collars and leashes available for purchase at the show. We do not bathe the day of the show but a couple of days before the show.

I am going to order one of those, Not what I use. The Cobra is more similar to a choke collar, should I not use this??? Kari

Jerry, You are a lifesaver . . . I've been looking for a size larger in the show collars. These leather ones are hard to find unless you go to a big show. Kari, I would suggest the leather. Just think what you would like to push on with your neck. I would prefer the leather myself. :-)

Does any one know about wheeled kennels (meaning brand and places to buy?) I have done my Internet research but never found any large (for GSD) kennel with wheels. When I travel I find my vari some times very heavy and some airport do not have carts. Thank you in advance.

I have some great show collars/leads in one. Made of leather and so easy for younger dogs. I got them through a local here but would be happy to steer people in that direction.

VFG, I take a wagon with me to haul everything from my car. Bungi cords and more bungi cords. Cheaper than finding the crate with wheels , which the ones I have seen are only plastic. Kari

GSDNewbie..sorry..I was told by my breeder to get that one for the puppy..maybe I should try the one you want!! It has worked great but he's only 5 months, maybe that makes a difference I don't know..if you find one you like let me know.. Yep I am trying to come out there in October..it would be a blast...you are showing your girl there?

I've used a home-made dolly to haul around a big heavy crate. It's easy to make with heavy plywood, large caster dolly wheels, and an attached rope for pulling. You can also purchased aluminum frames with wheels that are suitable to haul crates. I see them at AKC shows all the time, Cherrybrook sells them. I am in heaven since I started using mesh crates for my GSD's. They are great for the dog that isn't destructive and won't chew out. They fold flat and only weigh around 10, 12 pounds. They're not for all dogs and I wouldn't just put my dog in one at a show and walk away for hours, but for the house, vehicle or an RV you can't beat them.

vfg , I do not know of your geographical location, but if you are in the USA "Petmate" the brand makes a line of carriers with wheels. I bought mine "a 450" at Petco many years ago and love the thing and use it when traveling with a dog, has a handle and caster type whells on it. The Model is "Furrarri Pet Carrier",hope that helps!
