Any Pic's??

by Gustav on 15 April 2017 - 08:04

I actually have a picture of Enno( my Enno) on duty as PSD. But I don't know how to post pictures...lol, I also had VA Arras vom Haus Helma daughter that produced PSD dogs, had Marlo vom Cellerland son that produced LE dogs, all of these dogs including my Meik v Peltzerfeim( VA Mutz brother) grandson who also sired LE dogs were from VA dogs except Meik who was a brother to VA dog and V himself. ( Btw, Meik was kept by Germany and Mutz was sold to Italy)
The Meik daughter that produced my boy was bred by Otto Mueller, former VDH Judge in Germany.
Learning what I have about the quality of SL dogs of that period, I find myself incredibly lucky to have acquired all these dogs that had proven working temperament and good working structure.

I,m not into all that showlines but I remember good offspring from Yasko vom Farbenspiel, also from his father Ursus,

So what I have learned here that the oldschool SL haver more  working temperament and most are better  than the today SL ?

Well, BM, I'm not going to argue with anyone that is closer to situation than I am, I can only go on my experiences. But I owned and trained dogs from the old Showlines, and I train dogs still today from current Showlines. I trained working dogs back then, and I still train working dogs today.
I only know what my experiences are, but I think most knowledgeable breed people understand this situation, afterall working trials and LE dogs are not in vacuum....people can see what is normal and they can see what is an exception....so folks can come to their own conclusions.😎

Jenni thank you for posting Enno for Gustav. Thumbs Up  Nice looking GSD and he does resemble his grandsire Enno v Antreftal .

My 7yr old thought this was so cool. He was sitting on the arm of my chair when the text came in and was all "Look at the dog, Mom! Who's that guy, Mom? Is he a policeman? Is that his police dog? That dog is sooo cool looking! His face markings almost look like a Malinois. How come none of our dogs are that color?" and on and on. LOL. If the youth, the future, thinks that dog is really cool, maybe all hope is not lost ;)

Absolutely love it <3 Strauss was half of some older show lines. The drive and stability of that dog...haven't had anything like it, don't think I ever will again. I wish I had the knowledge then that I do now, so I could have appreciated him more.
