The FIRST sign is that my Boys will let me know that she's getting ready to go into HEAT...Sometimes a couple of weeks...Sometimes it seems up to a month before...
I also got into a discussion with my vet about whether a female could be in HEAT without bleeding...He looked it up and said...NO...That she might be very clean and cleans up well after herself...But she will ALWAYS bleed...
Well I checked and checked the female for blood...There was NONE...I mean I really checked...
So I mentioned it again to my vet...and he once again said NO...She will always bleed...
Well there was NEVER any blood...And she mated...and 63 days later had a litter of 8 puppies...
I haven't mentioned this to my vet since...
